Approved Training Provider by SSIA – Solicitor General

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AN ALBERTA SECURITY SERVICES LICENCE YOU MUST

  • Be over 18 years old
  • Be fluent in English
  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Have no criminal record, outstanding criminal charges; not be the subject of a criminal investigation
  • Not be a current member of the police service, a sheriff, bailiff, a collection agency or debt collector
  • Complete the training and exam requirements

GETTING YOUR ALBERTA SECURITY SERVICES LICENCE (ABST)

All security workers must:

  • Score 80% or higher on the provincial final exam
  • Apply for an Alberta security services licence
  • Successfully complete an approved security training course provider
  • Alberta Basic Security Training Course (40 Hours Course)
