TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AN ALBERTA SECURITY SERVICES LICENCE YOU MUST
- Be over 18 years old
- Be fluent in English
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Have no criminal record, outstanding criminal charges; not be the subject of a criminal investigation
- Not be a current member of the police service, a sheriff, bailiff, a collection agency or debt collector
- Complete the training and exam requirements
GETTING YOUR ALBERTA SECURITY SERVICES LICENCE (ABST)
All security workers must:
- Score 80% or higher on the provincial final exam
- Apply for an Alberta security licence
- Successfully complete an approved security training course provider
- Alberta Basic Security Training Course (40 Hours Course)
